Does cracking your knuckles cause arthritis?

It has long been rumored that cracking your knuckles can cause problems later in life. And the answer to that is a big, fat NO. Cracking your knuckles, while making, as some describe it, “a highly pleasurable, almost existential feeling of relief and gratitude”, is quite often beaten down. Cracking of the knuckles releases nitrogen that has been trapped inside the joints of the knuckles. Of course, nitrogen may also in some cases become trapped in the joints of the back, neck and legs. As would be expected, cracking other joints in your body does NOT cause arthritis, but simply a delightful sound which may in some cases cause members of the opposite sex to come at you full force, with one thing mind. But that is for another day.

So there you have it, the life long question "do you get arthritis by cracking your knuckles” is finally answered. Hopefully today we've also touched on "reasons for cracking neck and knuckles"

Until next time, stay strong, stay proud. And don't forget to crack your knuckles!
